As founder of Studio One Eleven, Alan Pullman, AIA, leads design teams on mixed-use, urban infill and adaptive reuse projects. With over 30 years of experience in architecture and urban design, he has led project teams on a number of award-winning developments. He is responsible for overall management and strategy, as well as design leadership on select projects. Alan is a registered architect in California and a member of both the American Institute of Architects and Urban Land Institute, where he serves on the Urban Revitalization Council. He holds a position as board member for Downtown Long Beach Associates and is an advisor to the 4th Street Merchant Association. In addition, Alan is a partner in East Village Associates, a development firm dedicated to adaptive re-use projects that contribute to the economic, environmental and community life of downtown Long Beach. A native of New York, Alan received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University and is an Executive MSC in Cities candidate at London School of Economics.

I love London, England, New York, New York and Tokyo, Japan for their vibrant street life and amazing culture.

Death and Life of Great American Cities by Jane Jacobs.
