The City of Long Beach is developing the Southeast Area Specific Plan (SEA SP) along with Placeworks, for its southeast coastal district, funded by a Sustainable Communities Planning Grant from the Strategic Growth Council.

Studio One Eleven is engaged with the Alamitos Bay Partnership, one of the primary landowners in the Long Beach planning area. Studio One Eleven is tasked to equip them with the knowledge necessary to actively participate in the City’s efforts to formulate a plan and provide recommendations for a sustainable development trajectory for this district.

As part of this effort, Studio One Eleven tested “by right” development strategies on their client’s land holdings and is currently engaged in communication and outreach efforts with City Staff, elected officials and the community.

The project team is engaged in providing expertise with creating clear graphic material to highlight the potential of this Plan. Several meetings conducted by Studio One Eleven have provided clarification to stakeholders on the Plan’s proposed development density, transportation and traffic impacts and environmental sustainability measures.
